Colm advises some of the UK and Ireland’s largest public and private real estate investors and developers on communications, strategy, fundraising and allocation, investor relations and advocacy. Prior to LTA, Colm built and led the real estate desk at investment bank Goodbody, which quickly became a market leading team working on some of the most prominent deals of the last decade. Colm’s international buy-side network is recognised as one of the strongest in the market.
Colm’s experience as one of the founding fathers of the Irish REIT regime (as an early member of the Irish REITs Forum in 2009) was also critical to investors in the sale of Green REIT to Henderson Park, Hibernia REIT to Brookfield, and Yew Grove to Slate Office REIT, as well as the dual listing of Hammerson. More recently, Colm took a leading role in the attempted hostile take-over of IRES REIT, a multi-family investor, which yielded major changes at the company.
As Chairman of the {Whitehall Group}, one of London’s most-influential policy and networking groups from the financial and real estate sectors, Colm regularly engages and leads some of the most influential business, political, and academic figures on policy issues impacting the property sector.
Colm holds a MPhil in Real Estate Finance from Cambridge, and a BSc in Property Economics from Dublin Institute of Technology. Prior to his financial career, Colm spent six years in European politics, including four years as Secretary General of the youth of the European People’s Party.
