Colm advises some of the UK and Ireland’s largest public and private real estate investors and developers on communications, strategy, fundraising and capital allocation, investor relations, and advocacy.
Before joining LTA, Colm established and led the real estate desk at investment bank Goodbody, which quickly became a market-leading team, handling some of the most prominent deals of the last decade. His international buy-side network is widely recognised as one of the strongest in the market.
Colm’s role as one of the founding figures of the Irish REIT regime (as an early member of the Irish REITs Forum in 2009) was pivotal in facilitating significant transactions, including the sale of Green REIT to Henderson Park, Hibernia REIT to Brookfield, and Yew Grove to Slate Office REIT, as well as the dual listing of Hammerson. More recently, Colm played a leading role in the attempted hostile takeover of IRES REIT, a multi-family investor, resulting in substantial changes at the company.
As Chairman of the Whitehall Group, one of London’s most influential policy and networking groups for the financial and real estate sectors, Colm regularly engages and leads discussions with prominent business, political, and academic figures on policy issues impacting the property sector.
Colm holds an MPhil in Real Estate Finance from Cambridge and a BSc in Property Economics from Dublin Institute of Technology. Before his financial career, he spent six years in European politics, including four years as Secretary General of the Youth of the European People’s Party.
