Liz Peace spent her early career in Government in the Ministry of Defence working in a range of roles including nuclear weapon accident planning and the political aspects of land management and planning. She was a key player in the creation of QinetiQ plc in 2001 where for a period she was also the director responsible for health, safety and security. Liz then moved into the private sector, becoming Chief Executive of the British Property Federation where she played a significant role in the creation of the UK’s Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) structure and made a major contribution to planning reform.

Liz has a non-executive portfolio career primarily focussed on government and real estate including Howard de Walden Estates, Greencore Homes, AEW UK REIT and the Connected Places Catapult. She has been chair of the Government Property Agency and more recently Greater London Authority’s Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation.

Liz was awarded a Commander of the Order of the British Empire in HM The Queen’s 2008 New Year’s Honours for services to the property industry.
